Greetings! My name is Donna Clement Jackson.
I would like to share my story of hope and inspiration with you.
Lending a helping hand to those in need has always been a natural instinct of mine, both personally and professionally. Over the years, this has included taking families into my home who had been displaced to providing a haven for neighborhood children who simply wanted to get away from the drugs and violence that riddled the streets. Some call me the “go to person” for help in a vast array of situations; if I agreed to help, you could rest assured that I would advocate for you as if your challenge were my own.
In 2007, after my youngest child had entered high school, I decided to further my education and by 2015 I had obtained an Associates and Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration.
Over the years I have worked various jobs in my attempts to provide for my family and in 2015 while unemployed, a friend introduced me to a candidate running for Philadelphia Council at Large. Having been out of work for over a year, I volunteered and dedicated myself full time to his campaign and when he won, I won when he offered me the position of Director of Constituent Services. For me, this was and remains my dream job. Imagine, being paid to do what you so often do for free, advocate and provide service to those in need.
What I have held on to over the years is a dream. A dream to start a nonprofit organization that would aid others to reach their full potential. Monday Morning Mom is my dream come to reality. I have often been told, “Donna, you can’t save the world” my response has and remains, “If I can save one person, I have served God’s purpose for my life.”
